DFI Lucky Plants 1,000 Mangrove Trees in Kampot to Celebrate Sustainability Awareness Month
Kampot, Cambodia – In a powerful show of environmental commitment, DFI Lucky celebrated Sustainability Awareness Month by planting 1,000 mangrove trees at the Prek Thnout Community in Kampot Province, the location of the company’s newly opened second store.
Braving the muddy terrain and intense heat, team members from DFI Lucky came together to take direct action for Cambodia’s coastal ecosystems. The mangrove planting initiative not only contributes to the fight against climate change but also strengthens biodiversity and helps protect local communities from coastal erosion and flooding.
“This was more than just a symbolic gesture,” said a DFI Lucky spokesperson. “We’re proud to roll up our sleeves and give back to the environment and the communities that support us. Planting mangroves is a long-term investment in Cambodia’s ecological health and sustainability.”
The project aligns with DFI Lucky’s broader mission to support sustainable development and foster environmental responsibility within its operations and communities.
By choosing to launch this initiative in conjunction with the opening of their second Kampot store, DFI Lucky reinforces its commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) while creating meaningful impact at the local level.
