Various banners across our Group have organised volunteering activities throughout September, living our Purpose of serving everyday moments in our Asian communities.

DFI Lucky team members came together to help Les Restaurants Des Enfants (LRDE) supply meals for underprivileged children in Phnom Penh. LRDE offers free meals to street children and runs a community centre where they can wash, rest and play in a safe environment.

As part of our Lucky Cares initiative, we provided the ingredients for and prepared a nutritious meal of chicken, rice and soup at LRDE’s kitchen for the children. After lunch, the children had some fruit as a rare treat and then participated in a fun activity with colouring books and pencils that our team members prepared. It rained heavily that day, driving home the fact that LRDE provides essential comfort to these street children. The children’s bright smiles made our team’s efforts worthwhile.
